The Mac app

FXOS uses sandboxed access to the files you choose. Import, rendering, and export happen on your Mac.

• No FXOS account is required.
• Your source images and exported files are not uploaded to FXOS.
• FXOS does not use an AI service, cloud render queue, analytics SDK, tracking, automatic upload, or networked telemetry.
• The app does not require a network connection for its image-effects workflow.

FXOS can keep reduced product and reliability summaries on your Mac. Daily summaries are retained for up to 90 days and recent safe failure summaries for up to 14 days. They exclude image content, file paths, names, custom text, stable identifiers, exact control values, raw MetricKit payloads, and call stacks. You can inspect, disable, clear, or explicitly export them.

The in-app feedback composer keeps local diagnostics off by default. Feedback text, app and macOS version details, and any diagnostics you choose to include leave your Mac only after you explicitly hand them to your mail provider or export them.

Buying FXOS

FXOS is sold as a one-time purchase on the Mac App Store. Purchases, payment details, refunds, and receipts are handled entirely by Apple under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. We never see your payment information.

The purchase links on this website are ordinary links to the FXOS Mac App Store product page. Following one does not require an FXOS account and does not send us any personal information.

Past TestFlight requests

Historical only. The FXOS TestFlight request form is no longer offered on this website, and the site no longer collects email addresses. This section describes how information collected through that earlier form is still handled.

If you previously requested FXOS TestFlight access, we collected the Apple ID email you entered, and we use Loops to process that email, your confirmation, your subscription preferences, and message delivery. That form used double opt-in, so a request was only active after you confirmed it from your inbox.

We used this information only to manage TestFlight access and send the FXOS release emails you requested. We do not sell this information, use it for targeted advertising, or enable open and click tracking. Loops processes the information as our email service provider.

You can unsubscribe from any message, or ask us to access, correct, or delete the email associated with a past request, by emailing support@fxos.studio.

Website hosting

This website is hosted by Vercel. Like most hosting providers, Vercel may process technical request information such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, and timestamp to deliver and protect the site.

Website hosting and the optional analytics described below are separate from the native FXOS Mac app.

Website analytics

FXOS uses Google Analytics 4 to understand website visits and improve the landing page. Google Analytics stays off until you select Allow analytics. We do not use Google Signals, user-provided data collection, advertising storage, or ad personalization.

After you allow analytics, Google Analytics may receive the page URL and title, referral source, browser and device information, approximate geography, page views, scroll completion, outbound link clicks, and a Mac App Store click event that records only which part of the page the link was in. We do not send email addresses, form values, or other personal data to Google Analytics.

Google may use an IP address at collection time to derive approximate location before discarding it rather than logging or storing the address in Analytics. Analytics cookies expire after 60 days, and the FXOS property retains user and event data for two months without resetting the period on new activity.

Your analytics preference is saved in local storage so the site can remember it. You can change the preference at any time using Analytics settings. Declining or withdrawing consent stops future analytics collection and removes FXOS Google Analytics cookies that are available to the site.

Google processes analytics data as our service provider. See the Google Privacy Policy and Google Analytics data safeguards.

Your choices

You can allow, decline, or withdraw optional website analytics at any time using Analytics settings. Declining does not reduce any part of this website, including the Mac App Store purchase links.

You can unsubscribe from FXOS emails at any time using the link in any message. You can also ask us to access, correct, or delete the email associated with an earlier TestFlight request.

We keep that earlier request information only while it is needed for legal requirements and for suppressing messages after an unsubscribe.
