Summary

FXOS is a native macOS application for turning your local images into creative output with effects such as ASCII Overlay, Dither, Halftone / Dot Screen, CRT Screen, and Heat Map. The app processes files on your Mac. FXOS does not require an account to use.

Data processed by the app

Images, FXOS project files, and exports you create stay on your device unless you explicitly save or export them to a location you choose.

FXOS stores app preferences locally, such as reduced preview motion, using standard macOS storage.

Data the app does not collect

FXOS does not operate a sign-in or user account system. The app privacy manifest does not declare tracking or collected data types, and the app does not request network, camera, microphone, or location access through its sandbox entitlements.

Required-reason APIs

FXOS uses User Defaults for local app preferences and file timestamp APIs for local file metadata during import and export workflows.

Tracking

The FXOS app privacy manifest sets tracking to off and lists no tracking domains.

Children

FXOS is a creative tool for general audiences. The App Store age rating is set separately in App Store Connect.
